Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Flushing peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I went for US Open fan week 2026. Expansive grounds. Many food options. Smooth entry. The only thing I noticed was finding things inside was not the easiest and with muliplt locations for the same thing it is easy to get turned around also expect to find long lines everywhere. Also bookbags are not permitted. There is a north gate and a south gate but other people call them main gate and champions gate. That is what makes it easy to get turned around and lose your way but it is not hard to find it again. Lol!πππ

The PLACE was crowded but the energy was Amazing !! The DJ and the shows with dances and interactive games with Joseph and Michelle were fun. Dove, IHG, Fage yogurt, Amex , Mt Sinai , Chubb, Chase and many other sponsors made the downtime event filled. The Spiderman based comics were excellent except it was quite chaotic to obtain the special editions. The organization of the line formation was poor planned and it is obvious that workers had advantages. Mixed doubles were wonderful addition and the ability to see practice sessions of many top seeded players was AWESOME!!

First time at the U.S. Open. Went with my family and it was great. Tons of people but yet still manageable. It was very cool to experience the many different events, like watching Aryna Sabalenka practice! Quick free tutorial for kids on their 1st tennis lesson. Live music performances, DJs, and other entertainment events like the Savannah Bananas. Tons of major brand promo giveaways and photo areas to check out as well. So many top global brands that made the place feel very elevated and bougie. A lot of influencers around looking for their photo op. But also so many little ones and their bulky strollers. What a perfectly chaotic weekend, combined with the hot sun and crowds. Lol oh well. Got to get out and live.

Attending the US Open for the very first time was an unforgettable experience, and it absolutely deserves five stars! I was impressed by how well-organized everything was. The staff and volunteers were beyond helpful, making it so easy to navigate the grounds and find our way around. Everywhere we went, the customer service was excellent friendly faces, quick assistance, and a genuine sense of excitement that really added to the atmosphere. One of the best parts of the US Open is how much access you have to different courts during Fan Week. Itβs not just about Arthur Ashe Stadium there are so many other courts where you can get up close and personal with some of the best players in the world. Being able to walk around, watch matches at different levels, and experience both the intensity of the big showdowns and the intimacy of the smaller courts made the whole day feel full and dynamic. And of course, I canβt forget the famous Honey Deuce cocktail! πΈ I had heard so much about it before going, but tasting it for the first time was the cherry on top of an already amazing day. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and fun with the little frozen melon balls itβs the ultimate US Open signat

First visit to the USTA in 30 years. Very disappointed in the overall US Open experience. The crowds were insane! It was better after we got into a stadium but outside the stadiums was a chaotic mass of people. Where are the signs letting visitors know where the courts are? In this era of high tech and AI, there should be huge (temporary) electronic displays showing match status in each court (like theme parks that have displays showing wait times for rides). The event staff were invisible! They should have special jackets or vests so they can be easily identified if visitors needed assistance. There were way too many visitors for event staff to manage if there were an emergency. We were lucky the day was not that hot, but it's still hot enough to potentially trigger heat issues or other medical emergencies. If there are medical or first aid facilities (tents?), we did not see and signs for them. Overall, there should be better signage and more maps to orient visitors. We did see some great US Open tennis matches, but the venue was disappointing for what should be a world class event.
